Jump Rope - Recreational Level - ages 6+


Join in for 45 minutes of fun learning agility skills with a jump rope and games with friends in the long rope. This class is highly interactive, full of heart pumping exercise and engages our jumpers to develop fast twitch muscles for future athletic endeavours.

Jump Rope - Recreational or  Competitive Level - ADULTS
Join in for 1-2 hours of jump rope training and whip your body into shape. Jump rope is mentally challenging which takes away from the boring aspects of being on a treadmill at the gym and will kick your butt at the same time. Adults have the opportunity to train individually or as a team if they wish to compete. Categories for adults are 18-29 age and 30+. Wednesdays 6:30-8:30pm Sept-June

Skipping is an activity fun for kids and adults, athletes and non-athletes alike. Not only is skipping fun, it's also an excellent calorie burner, increases bone density, builds agility and improves your brain function! It's a great training method for many other sports, from football to swimming, too.

At JDFA, you don't need any experience or athletic ability to start skipping with us! Give jump rope a try -- you might just love it!



We want you! We are going into our 4th season as the only competitive jump rope team in Halton!

Come and be a part of our start up. All you need is enthusiam and the desire to practice. Our competitive jump rope team will meet one,two or three nights a week to practice various skills to prepare for two annual rope skipping competitions and also compete at the National level.

We will work individually, with partners, in small groups and large teams to create competitive entries for The Ontario Skipping Organization competitions.


This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who wants to get active and work with a team. We have a lot of fun and love working together to accomplish skipping routines that perform to impress.

Practices are held Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. You can train 4 hours or 6 hours per week depending on your goals.
